About the event

Wilton Village lies in the heart of the North Wessex Downs and is a wonderful example of how the industrial revolution impacted upon rural Wiltshire, with the Kennet and Avon canal, Great Western Railway, Crofton pumping station and Wilton Windmill all within a stone's throw of the village pond! The Lemon family have been at Manor Farm in Wilton for four generations, and over that time they have seen huge changes both in the way they farm and in the landscape around them.

Over the course of the day,  you'll get a chance to find out more about local history (including the house that was never built!) and visit Wilton Windmill. You'll also get a guided tour of Manor Farm (as featured on Countryfile, 27th July) and discover how today farmers in the area are working together to enhance the local landscape and biodiversity, protect water quality, and manage woodland…
