DOMINIC PRESTON

Dominic has a passion for many aspects of conservation and wildlife management and, as well as being a student, volunteers for the National Trust as a gardener and for Somerset Council as a ranger on the Chard reservoir site. At Chard, he's involved with water quality checks, reptile mat surveys, butterfly surveys, putting up bat boxes, fence work, and various wood work and other practical activities. He is definitely an outdoors type and is particularly keen to pursue this role as a career.

Although not from the North Wessex Downs, Dominic recognises it as a beautiful landscape rich in wildlife and is truly interested in understanding and getting involved with the community and the work of the Trust.
